Your experienced moving consultant will guide you to walk you through your home (using the camera on your phone to view your belongings) and determine how much it will cost to perform your move.
Use these checklists to help prepare for your virtual appointment:
Prepare your home
■ Determine which items you are moving; your consultant will need to know exactly what is going to be moved.
■ Be prepared to show your consultant every room in your house, including all storage spaces. Don’t forget your garage, shed and yard.
■ Open all cabinets and closets before your Virtual Survey to expedite the estimating process.
■ Identify any high-value items that are greater than $100 per pound (antiques, fine china, designer apparel, etc.). Also, indicate any breakables that you may have.
■ Have a tape measure with you. Your consultant may need you to measure items for increased accuracy.
■ The consultant will need you to go outside of your house, regardless of weather conditions, to evaluate accessibility for your moving truck and crew.
■ Do you have offsite storage? We’re able to upload photos or videos to include those items in the estimate.
